Those that decry Socialized Health Care as the gateway to Communism often overlook the problems with Capitalized Health Care.
‘We have the best medicine and medical care’ is a bombastic boast often touted by supporters of Capitalized Health Care but this statement and those that spout this drivel ignore the fact that only those with sufficient incomes or wealth levels can afford the ‘best medicine and medical care’ leaving a vast majority of Americans without insurance or woefully underinsured.
What do we have to show for all this Capitalized Health Care?
The highest rates of obesity of any industrialized nation.
We pay far more for the exact same prescription drugs than any other industrialized nation.
Tens of millions without healthcare or access to health care.
Insurance and pharmaceutical companies are entities not concerned with people health but with bottom lines and profit margins.
A health care system not concerned with the prevention of illness, disease, and disorder but focused on the mitigation of symptoms through toxic and often addictive and dangerous pharmaceutical drugs.
Powerful industries spending small fortunes lobbying our politicians to keep the most versatile medicinally, recreationally, agriculturally, and industrially viable plant, Cannabis sativa L., illicit to maintain their stranglehold on America’s pocketbook and welfare.
This is but a small list of the impediments, detractions, and malignancies threating our nation in the form of a Capitalized Health Care system that we must address as a nation or else we are doomed to failure like so many misguided cultures before ours.
